It’s Beautiful From Where I Sit

The thought never crossed my fog filled mind that someone might think I was using the picture I posted on I’m Honored……I Think  to say the OyP  award was junk.   Ha!   NO NO NO that thought never entered my mind until a friend brought it up, asking if that’s what I was trying to say with the picture.

That picture isn’t a picture of junk.  It’s a picture of the spillway pipe HBL removed from our dam and replaced with new pipe and I thought it was lovely.  It reminds me of me with all it’s rust, twists, turns, and flattened places where it was once new, shiny, straight and completely whole before the ravages of time took their toll.

I sometimes just feel the need to share photos that, in my opinion, are beautiful and I thought that was as good a post as any for this photo to make an appearance.    Therefore I humbly apologize if anyone took it the wrong way and got their feelings hurt.

I’m learning the ropes in Bloggersville, slowly but surely, and I’m also learning many are divided into their own little gangs and you have to figure out what colors you need to wear and flash all the right hand signals.  O.k. maybe hand signals don’t work so well when you’re trying to type but you know what I mean.

I’ll never fit into a standard mold since I’ve always been a round peg in a square hole, which I just figure gives me room to grow corners, but individuality makes the world go round and those distinctively different personalities are what bring me back to certain blogs more than others.

Lately I’ve been lurking and observing an ongoing fight between two bloggers and I have to step back and ask wtf?  By the way, when I say wtf, it’s what the fork, just so we’re clear on that.  Why the fork are people fighting in Bloggersville, for Pete’s sake?  Read my lips….or uh my fingers…..stop going to their site if you don’t like what they are saying.  Last I checked no one was holding a gun to anybody’s head and making them be here.

Could I put that any clearer?   Good grief, people………..it’s only Bloggersville where you don’t pay taxes and you don’t have to sell your house to move on to other sites that you do love.

Oops, there they go again so I’ll be back later because right now I gotta go watch the fireworks.

HAPPY TRAILS, Y’ALL

For what it’s worth…I really liked the picture! I didn’t know how it related to your writing, but I liked it nonetheless. And I had a story I wrote attacked by a sports site once and I attacked back. I learned a few things from that experience. One…it’s only an opinion on both fronts. Two…I could care less what anyone out there thinks about my opinion. It’s mine and you can bite me. And three…if you have any issues with the way I write or the story I’m telling, please refer to #2! And then life went on…

Round peg, square hole, grow corners - yes, I like that idea! Think I’m one of the same. And as for arguing bloggers - I’m escaping from the stresses of “real life” when I visit Bloggersville. So far I have found the residents to be very accepting and non-judgmental. Hope it continues!
