My Planets Are In Need Of Re-Alignment

xbluebonnets-lake

I’ve had a weird and wonderful two days.  O.k. make that an exciting and strange 5 days, 11 hours, and 24 minutes but who’s counting?

x

First I got a call from someone offering me an opportunity of a lifetime.  Many other people called this person and begged for this opportunity but this wonderful soul called me and offered it to me.

x

HBL and I took some time to think it over to make sure it was the right decision for us.  We each would get very “up” and then “very down” on the decision until yesterday when we finally decided to pull the trigger and go for it.  Now we’re both so excited we can hardly stand ourselves.  *I’ll share the news with you in a month* *maybe*  That’s the wonderful and exciting part of this post.

x

Next for the weird and strange, I’m sitting at home and I get a phone call from a guy I graduated with from high school.  He found my business website and that’s how he was able to get my phone number.  His first question was “married, single, in a relationship, engaged, taken, or sworn off men?”  I said “Yes, all of the above at one time or another in my life.”  He didn’t think that was nearly as funny as I thought it was which I though was kind of narrow minded of the guy, don’t you?

x

He clarified that he was serious and meant right now at this very moment and I told him I was married but my husband was having an affair and being very transparent about the whole thing to a wonderful man.  He said “damn, my timing is always off”.  I thought….what the fork? This guy never gave me second look the entire 12 years we attended school together *thank you God* and now he’s sitting there blowing smoke up my arse with his I’ve always wanted to go out with you when in fact it’s more like I’m alone and a desperate loser male in heat bullsh*t.

x

I later logged onto my Facebook account and old former classmate had found me there too.  I guffawed so big when I saw his profile picture that I spit my drink that might or might not have contained alcohol, all over my computer.  It looked like his mommy dressed him up in his cowboy duds and took him to town to have his picture made with his new red toy guitar.  Kind of like this picture.

OH wait.

x

That IS him.

x

How did that picture get here?

x

Oh dear, that’s just wrong on so many levels.

x

Who would do such a thing???

x

If you recognize this person, please let me know so I can take the picture offline really quick we can compare fond stories of this great guy.

x

Am I the only one that finds it a bit disturbing that a fifty two year old ??man?? would pose for a picture like this AND use it to troll for women on facebook?

Ménage à trois or Really Bad Nightmare?

x

I have a problem.  Hunka Burnin Love is smitten and he’s not doing a very good job of hiding the fact.

x

It was my fault, really.  I met her in Costco and  invited her into my home and took her into my favorite room in the house, the kitchen.  The kitchen is the hub of our home so what better place to make her feel welcome.  Big mistake.  HBL took one look and fell in love.

x

x

This has caught me completely off guard.  I didn’t think about how I’d feel when I saw his eyes light up as he leered gazed longingly at her lovely curves.  The thought never crossed my mind but the second I introduced them, I knew I’d made a big mistake.

Before I knew it, HBL had made her more comfortable by seating her on the love seat.  Little did I know that all the while she was casting a “come hither” look at my beloved HBL.

Things only got worse from there.  I turned my back for only a second and turned back around to this very disturbing sight.

As if all this wasn’t bad enough, HBL was so smitten that he took it upon himself to go back to Costco and came home with another one of these in a different color.  He’s not prejudiced.

x

I’m not sure I’ll ever be allowed to become very close to these two new members of our household since every time I try to free them from their clear plastic form, HBL breaks out into a cold sweat and takes them away from me.

x

Note to HBL:  If my side of the bed smells like plastic when I return to Texas on Thursday, you are in really big trouble Mister!!!

x

Warning:  Objects on a real body in mirror look much bigger than on plastic mannequins.

Should We Eat Cake In The Cellar?

X

If you’re one of my 10 4 regular readers then you’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting nearly as often as I use to before we went away to snow ski.  What’s up with that, you ask?   OH.  You didn’t ask?  Well, anyway……nothing much is up except a lack of concentration and the time to sit down and think of something witty write a post.

X

I’ve also realized that when I visit others on my blogroll and I see they don’t have a new post I feel a little relieved can quickly  move on to another blogger and get through my many reads a lot faster.   Because I feel an obligation to visit every one of my bloggy friends every day and my blogroll keeps getting longer and longer, it started becoming hugely a little overwhelming.

X

I know there are no hard and set rules for blogging and reading other blogs, but you tend to notice when people stop showing up and commenting.  I’m a people pleaser.  Because I’m a people pleaser I certainly don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by not visiting every day but in putting so much pressure on myself, I’m not enjoying the blogosphere nearly as much as I use to back when I didn’t care how often I posted or how many other places I visited.

X

Having said all that, I’m not going anywhere, I’m just not going to post as much and I’m going to enjoy every minute of not posting as much.  Maybe it’s because summer is upon us and we all start spending less time indoors and more time outdoors and therefore have less computer time, but I’ve noticed I’m not the only one slowing down. Now that the housekeeping is out of the way, here’s what’s going on in MLSville this weekend.

Saturday night we had a little birthday party for my youngest grand.  She turned 4 on April 8th but because her daddy works out of town for two week stretches and he wasn’t home on her actual birthday, the party was tonight.  She was a very excited little girl.

We also had an evening of really bad weather.  Tornadoes, thunder, lightning, rain and hail added to the birthday party excitement and allowed me to take a few pictures of some beautiful skies.  It was an amazing light show, to say the least and changed the party from outdoors to indoors with the first drop of rain and bounce of a rather large hail stone.

x

I ate all the wrong things at the party.  A hot dog, potato chips, cheese dip, birthday cake with icing that made me feel like I’d eaten a cup of Crisco and some pink lemonade.  Ugh.  I will pay later, trust me, but overall it was a great weekend.  More storms are expected Sunday.  Such is life in Oklahoma in the spring time. What did you do this weekend?  Are you getting the summer weather in your area?  I need to spruce up my flower beds but this dang wind won’t stop blowing.   Ugh……   I hope you all had a great weekend.
